Olete te kunagi külmkapis dushi all käinud? Või piimasupis ujuvatel kaljudel matkanud? Dingode ulumist unelauluna kuulanud?
Tomatihooaeg venis see aasta küll oodatust pikemaks, kuid kuna praamipiletid Tasmaaniasse juba ootasid, sai enne lõppu ära tuldud. Vahelejäävat paaripäevast vaba aega otsustasime mina ja mu uus reisikaaslane J. kasutada Great Alpine Road ´i läbimiseks.
Have you ever taken a shower inside a fridge? Or hiked on the mountains which float in milk? Had dingoes howl you to sleep?
The tomato season was longer than expected this year, so we left a little early to make it to Tasmania, as we already had booked the tickets. The few days that remained in between, I and my new travel mate J. decided to use for seeing the Great Alpine Road.
Paar pildikest teepealt:
A couple of pics from the road:
Mitu sõpra on pildil? How many friends on the pic?
Tegime tutvust kohalike karjakoaertega ning avastasime bussijaama mugavused. :)Made an acquaintance with the local shepard dogs and discovered the comforts of the bus station.
Meie valik:
Like every self respectful NP here, Mt. Buffalo had several walking tracks and here is our choice:
Leviathan
Went to the Cathedral - Hump track, at first the weather was pretty clear, but then the cloud´s mist started to hug us in
Cathedral - Hump track - et natuke infot kah / A little information
Valged puud / White trees
Mis mina leidsin! / Look what I found!
Torpedo rock
The Horn track: Majake udus / A house in the mist
Vaade Austraalia Alpidele - hmm ütle piimasupp?! / View to Australian Alps - can you say milksoup?!
Ja vaade järgmisel päeval... :) / And the view on the next day
Kõrgus 1723m / Elevation 1723m
Ning üleval - sinav silmapiir / Up there - blue horizon
Next track was the Old Galleries one - adventure between huge rock piles. And ofcourse we had to climb them! (Actually I skipped that route and took an easier one ...)
Spent the night at the Lake Catani campsite - was about -2`C... morning shower was as good as inside the fridge ´cos no doors on ameneties really ... but the frosty nature was beautiful! Before falling asleep I heared howling and couldn´t really tell who is it... next day we asked the ranger and he said that those would be the local dingoes!
Mt.
Mt Buffalo Chalet, which is currently waiting for a new caretaker was closed, but I still got the feeling that I could stay for a while to this peaceful place... especially when you have such views!
GAR - i mööda allapoole liikudes jäi teele Mt. Hotham, kust oli suurepärane vaade tagasi Mt. Buffalole...
Driving southwards on GAR we passed through Mt Hotham and took one more climpse to Mt. Buffalo...
